Best Place for Coffee on Campus
Following on from the last blog post which gave advice on going elsewhere on campus, it should be said that there are places on campus that are worthwhile checking out if you need a quick lunch or coffee break.
First on the list is: Sir William Duncan Building:
Located on Rottenrow behind the business school building, this building has a mix of seating available as well as PC’s available to use. Plenty of hot food choices available and Starbucks coffee - this building is the best place to go if you have an hour break and have some last-minute tutorial prep but want to grab a quick coffee too. Easy to get to and the (almost) full Starbucks menu on offer, a good all-round place to visit.
Next up is on campus at the bottom of the hill and a new addition to the line of shops on George street, Tim Hortons! Obviously, there are more than one of these in Glasgow now but this one is predominately filled up with student’s due to the location. Good food and good coffee (not the iced coffee however this from personal experience is not great) this is a good place to go to get a takeaway coffee. Although it is busy in all the times I have been in, the que goes down very quickly as they have an order number system in place. Definitely one to visit!
Last but not least is the Technology and Innovation Centre: Right in front of Graham Hills building on George Street, a recent find of mine. This building has a cafe, coffee cart and seats located up the back of the building on the ground floor. The cafe up the back is so good and reasonably priced, plenty of choice and lots of seating, this is a good place to go for something different to do between class breaks. There are booths with charger spaces and a small coffee cart to beat the ques at the lunch line. This is somewhere I would go out of my way to go to when needing a lunch or coffee break in between classes, it’s not quite as busy as the places previously mentioned!
